SUMMARY. According to Rosstat, up to 39% of citizens in Russia work in conditions that do not meet sanitary and hygienic requirements, while, according to a special assessment of working conditions, currently about 10 000 000 workers work in harmful and dangerous conditions. A curious paradox of statistics: compared with European countries, the level of occupational diseases in Russia is ten times lower, despite the fact that working conditions at enterprises leave much to be desired. Despite the intensive development of diagnostic methods, improvement of prevention and treatment algorithms, coronary heart disease remains the leading one in the structure of morbidity and mortality in many countries of the world. One of the most important achievements in diagnostic cardiology is selective coronary angiography, which is used to determine the degree and nature of coronary sclerosis, treatment tactics and prognosis assessment. The article presents an analysis of the results of examination and coronary angiography in unselected patients with cardiovascular diseases – workers of harmful and dangerous industries (the main group) in comparison with an unselected control group that had no contact with harmful industrial factors, who underwent examination and treatment at North-West District Research Clinical Center named after L. G. Sokolov of the Federal Medical-Biological Agency. A more preserved state of the coronary bed was revealed in patients of the main group in comparison with the control group.
