SUMMARY. The purpose of this article is to review complications of femoral artery puncture during endovascular interventions and methods to minimize them using the Lumify ultrasound system (Philips). The incidence and types of complications such as hematoma, pseudoaneurysm, and arteriovenous fistula, as well as the risks associated with anatomic variability, are reviewed. The effectiveness of ultrasound navigation in improving accuracy and reducing complication rates has been confirmed. The method allows real-time verification of needle position, improving diagnosis and monitoring of subsequent treatment. Lumify (Philips) is proving its practical value in clinical practice.
